Tucker’s Point Club Hotel and Spa is seeking a highly motivated professional to assist its team in the post of
SPA THERAPISTS
The Spa Therapist is responsible for ensuring that the Spa guest experience is a memorable one, through consistently projecting a positive attitude, being current on industry knowledge, practicing superior technical skills, and demonstrating effective guest interaction. The Spa Therapist will report directly to the Spa Director and Assistant Spa Manager and must be a team player, making decisions in the best interest of Tucker’s Point Hotel and Spa. Responsibilities of the Spa Therapist will include but are not limited to:
• Prepare and reset treatment rooms to include stocking and restocking of all professional products, linens and other materials
• Ensure immaculate presentation of treatment rooms including cleanliness, temperature, ambience and immediately reporting faulty equipment to maintenance
• Confirm treatment(s) with Guest and escort him/her to the correct treatment area for his/her first treatment and perform all tasks associated with the effective delivery of the Tucker’s Point Spa experience to the standards of Tucker’s Point Hotel and Spa
• Perform facials including exfoliation and extraction
• Perform body treatments including wraps using heat, and massage therapy using techniques of shiatsu, reflexology, Reiki, Thai massage and warm stone massage
• Escort Guests to their next treatment or to the relaxation lounge and providing the Guest with his/her product recommendation information and offering product recommendations tailored specifically to each individual Guest
Candidates should possess:
• Certification from an accredited school of beauty therapy aesthetics
• Certified in CPR/First Aid
• Two years proven experience as a therapist in a luxury Spa environment
• Superior communication skills
• Exceptional customer service skills
• Flexibility with scheduling, able to work weekends and public holiday
